Something Lost

There has been a feeling
Bred in me of late, telling
Me...Something's lost.
Something that I loved most.

Waves have washed my shore
And left me pondering more
As to why this happened
Leaving me so shattered.

But as they say, this is
Life dude. I still miss
It anyways. It pains. I pine
Yet this life is still mine.

The Nameless Abyss

A burning cigarette…
A bleeding heart…

One shall burn off…
The other will die out…

I like none…
And yet they remain…

“Why?” I ask of them…
“You chose us!” they say…

And thus it carries on…
And yet I fight on…

For the war that I fight…
Shall take me down with its end…

If that’s how it’s meant to be…
That’s how it shall be…

Why???

My words fail me,
My thoughts betray me,
And all I ask,
Is Why??? Why me???

My heart is torn,
My mind throbs with pain,
And I sob inwardly,
But Why??? Why me???

After all I saw,
After all I heard,
I thought she understood,
But Why??? Why did she not???

If choices are there,
If decisions are there,
She could have made the right ones,
But Why??? Why did she not???

I should hate her now,
I should despise her now,
For what she has done,
But Why??? Why did she???

I love her so much,
I want her so much,
And she chose a bastard,
Why??? Why did she???

Is this what’s life?
Is this what’s love?
Should they end like this?
Why??? Why should they???

Is it sin to love her?
Is it sin to desire her?
Do I need to pay so much?
Why??? Why should I???

Should I regret my decision?
Should I question my emotions?
When all I did is love her?
